For most of the day today I've had the urge to have mad make-outs with somebody. Im practically drooling over it.

I know how you feel all to well, my insides feel knotted and twisted with frustration.

I much prefer the phrase ‘make out’ to the UK equivalent, which is ‘get off’.

I have never heard "get off" applied to anything other than ejaculation (with partner or otherwise). You're right, "make out" does sound a lot better.

The only other thing ‘Get off’ applies to that comes to mind, is something that turns you on, like “do you get off on that”.

I can totally see now why Ireland is a country for lovers, with slang like that!

In my head the phrase “do you get off on that” still implies masturbation, but that could just be me.

An interesting addition: I was reading an article yesterday at work about some British murderer, and they were talking about him being turned on, but they kept using the word "disturbed". Like, he was "disturbed" by the sight of a girl wearing skirts above her knees. I had to reread the paragraph a couple of times to understand the context. I dont know where the article was written, but it was slang I had not heard before.

I can see you're coming from, but it kinda doesnt mean that to me. There is another phrase, which you might have heard of, that directly implies masturbation, "bring yourself off".

Thats interesting, I've never heard of being "disturbed" used in that way either. I certainly wouldn't describe myself as being "disturbed" on such occasions.

Thinking of "disturbed" in that sense makes me giggle now. In my head I see visuals...

Yes, "bring yourself off" would directly imply masturbation. I cant recall ever hearing it worded like that though.
