So I've been to Halifax and back... twice. The first time was for Brother's operation, which was only minor and went well. The second trip up (a week later) was for his followup appointment. We cant figure out why the doctor made us drive for five hours to attend a ten minute appointment, when there was probably a perfectly capable doctor on the island who could have checked his eye out to make sure it was going fine. But you know doctors. We have to go back up in eight weeks for another followup too. Awesome!
My accident happened on May 26th (four weeks ago, yesterday), on June 10th, (two weeks ago, today) I was laying down watching television and when I got up I had pain in my back. That pain hasnt gone away. Its not all over my back, it is across my left side, below my left shoulderblade. Pretty much around, or just below, where my bra crosses my back. It doesnt hurt all the time, mostly when I have to stand, or sit up without something to lean on. I was to see my doctor yesterday and he suggested to get an ObusForme (a back rest) so that I always have something supporting my back when Im sitting down. I got one before I went home yesterday and I love it already. My back isnt near as sore as it has been the past two weeks. The doctor didnt give me any pain-killers, which Im glad about. I dont want to have to be doped up all the time just to be able to function.
Im back to work as of last Wednesday. We got a contract in for the next six weeks, after that we dont know. Its not a new contract, it was one of the ones that just left that obviously couldnt handle things without us *smirk*. Im in training now until next Wednesday and then back on the phones. Hopefully I'll get the schedule that I had before, but I dont think I'll still get to sit with all the people I was sitting with before. I'll miss them.
Im going to get ready to go to the drive-in. Troy and Starsky & Hutch are playing, it should be a good night.

Halifax
Im leaving for Halifax today. We'll be home on Tuesday. Its just a quick trip up for my brother's eye operation, we're not even going to do any shopping. On Wednesday I'll be back to work. Oh. Joy.

Sunfire
So I got a new car. Its a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, one of the ones with the ugly eagle-beak type front ends on them. I hate late model Sunfires. Why did I get one? Because it was only $12,000 AND it only had 17,600kms on it, AND it comes with 2 warranties, one up to 60,000kms (or till 2006) and the other one up to 100,000kms (or till 2008). Its light silver though, like all the other cars that I've owned. Good thing I like the color silver. Plus it doesnt drive too bad. I miss my Echo though :
Oh, and my new car payments are less than they were before, but my insurance is more. Not fun.
Its also not fun that my new car is a total gas hog compared to my old car. The test will be when we take it to Halifax on Sunday.

*sigh*
You'd think being home all day now I'd post more than I have been doing. Too lazy.
The insurance company wrote my car off. Im not getting enough to even pay the car off, and I have to go out and start over and find a new car and get that financed, with no money to even put down on it. Its a royal pain in the arse. Boyfriend has me all in a tizzy over it, cuz he's more pissed off over the whole accident thing than I am. *sigh* I just want things back to normal.
